Agape Academy is a community-based organization(non-governmental organization) whose aim is to provide a meaningful education, Food, and healthcare to underprivileged children Mitaboni, Machakos Kenya. We envision a world where the underprivileged are given the opportunity to get a better life for themselves and their families through education.
We would like to create a world where everyone from all walks of life can enjoy life with dignity, sufficient food, and income security to meet basic needs. We strongly believe that by having a proper education it makes it possible to reach these goals.
Our School Feeding Program
Severe malnutrition affects almost 30% of children in eastern Kenya, and 1 in 4 children will have stunted growth. With the majority of families in this region living on less than $2 per day, many are forced to choose between buying food or paying school fees.
Agape Academy knows that school meals can be a crucial safety net for families living in poverty. Not only are nutritious meals a way to encourage attendance for the most vulnerable students, but also a nourished body can support a growing mind.
We envision a future where our centre can provide nutritious meals that encourage school attendance and improve school performance.
We offer child sponsorship program in the school.
Other basic needs are –Clean water, Decent rooms, healthcare services, Chairs and stationery.
